Renter must provide Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing Flanders Scientific as the loss payee and additionally insured.

The Colorimetry Research CR-300 is a high resolution spectroradiometer featuring 2nm spectral bandwidth and 0.8nm/pixel resolution. This probe is highly accurate and display agnostic allowing it to be used with all current and future display technologies including LCD, OLED, and projection.

The CR-300 is compact and lightweight (just 2.5 lb / 1.134 kg) yet extremely durable thanks to its all metal machined aluminum and stainless steel construction. Every CR-300 is shipped with a NIST traceable calibration certificate verifying the instrument's accuracy.

The CR-300-RH's rubber hood and large measurement spot size allow the spectroradiometer to be placed conveniently right against the screen of virtually all flat panel displays.

The CR-300 can be used with the CRI Application for manual measurement and logging. It is also compatible with FSI's AutoCal, LightIllusion's LightSpace CMS, LightIllusion's ColourSpace, and Portrait Display's CalMan allowing for full 3D LUT based calibration of Flanders Scientific monitors.

Features at a Glance

  • Compact & Rugged — Constructed using machined aluminum and stainless steel, weighing only 2.5 lb (1.134 kg).
  • Spectral Bandwidth & Accuracy — Visible spectrum (380–780 nm) with spectral bandwidth of 2 nm, spectral resolution of 0.8 nm/pixel, and spectral accuracy of ± 0.3 nm.
  • Custom Objective Lenses — The 50 mm lens is the standard option, with 60 mm, 75 mm, and 100 mm available at order time.
  • Detachable Viewfinders — Viewfinders snap in and out manually from the instrument's main body, replaceable depending on user needs.
  • Dynamic Range — Luminance range of 0.05 Nits to 230,000 Nits (0.015 fL to 68,000 fL), with sensitivities measured for 10:1 signal-to-noise ratio (RMS).

Designed for Performance

The ruggedly constructed housing of the CR-300-RH is made of machined aluminum and stainless steel, and can withstand high acceleration rates for the most demanding motion positioning systems and environments. All optical components are fixed to ensure no optical misalignments occur due to vibration, shock, or high acceleration/deceleration rates.

It weighs 2.5 lb (1.134 kg) — making it the perfect tool for display inspection and calibration, or for mounting on fast-moving XYZ tables. Its small size allows several CR-300-RHs to be mounted in the same motion control system for simultaneous measurement of multiple spots on the same display.

Versatile Interface Options

The CR-300-RH is a USB 2.0 compatible device, remotely controlled by host software from any personal computer, laptop, or netbook. As an option, the CR-300-RH can also be controlled via an Ethernet 10BASE-T / 100BASE-TX (IEEE-802.3 compliant) connection or an RS-232 port.

Applications

The CR-300-RH was designed specifically for the professional calibrator. It provides a large spot size on contact measurements and a small divergence angle that keeps the measurement spot size within desired dimensions for display panel and projector calibrations. The rubber hood allows the meter to be safely positioned against the screen, providing excellent shielding from ambient light.

Powerful Application

The CRIApp application is a streamlined, cross-platform, user-centric tool for performing all colorimetric-based analysis. It provides a familiar, consistent workspace no matter which platform you're on. The CR-300-RH ships with a built-in, easy-to-learn command interpreter — letting users quickly create their own dedicated software for specific measurement tasks or for inclusion in an Automated Test Environment.

A fully documented communication language with numerous real-world sample templates is included as a starting point for customers to build their own software tools using any modern development environment.
