XMP Firmware - Third Beta Release

We’d like to thank everyone that took the time to test and provide feedback on XMP beta firmware versions 3.1.02 and 3.1.04. We’re happy to report that we have a third public beta available for download now, version 3.1.05, and this is likely to be the final public beta before we adopt the 3.x.xx platform as our official shipping firmware version for all XMP series monitors.

This build specifically resolves the following issues from the previous public beta:

  • Addition of Dual Link SDI support missing from previous betas.
  • Resolves the monitor menus will freeze if trying to make color menu selections via the IP remote utility bug from the previous beta.

One remaining nuisance bug we are actively working on before pushing a shipping firmware release candidate is somewhat sluggish menu response when using the IPRU for monitor control. If you rely heavily on the IPRU for remote monitor control you may want to wait for the next build before updating.

Interested in testing these exciting new features? Visit our firmware page at FlandersScientific.com for free access to this public beta.

As a reminder, the version 3.x.xx firmware platform includes the following significant changes:

No gen-lock requirement for Quad View mode
  • New 4-channel Look LUT capabilities, including 4 channel SDI output
  • Simplified UHD -> HD downscaling, now across all 4 independent MON outputs
  • Real-time LiveGrade compatibility with UHD/4K as well as HD sources
  • Additional QC/engineering views: Blue Only, Red Only, Green Only, & Monochrome
  • Addition of full-range RGB signal support for integrated scopes
  • Bug fix: Audio de-embedding now de-embeds both CH1 and CH2 audio.
