IP Remote Utility Update

A new version of the IP Remote Utility (1.9.13) is now available and adds a great new convenience feature. The application will now take 33x33x33.cube Look LUT files directly, in addition to 17x17x17.cube LUT files, for upload to DM, XM*, and XMP series monitors regardless of device operating mode. By accepting both 17-side and 33-side.cube files natively within the IPRU it should no longer be necessary to convert many “DIT Look LUTs” in third party applications before uploading to an FSI monitor. Additionally, any resize operations performed by the IPRU will be done using tetrahedral interpolation to ensure the best balance between quality and performance.

*applies to 3D DIT Look LUT slots only, does not apply to calibration LUT slots

Tariff Impact Update

For US Based Customers Now May Be The Best Time To Buy

A new notice posted by US CBP late on Friday, April 11th has exempted monitors and BoxIO from the 125% reciprocal tariff rate for now. A smaller baseline duty remains in place on these items, but we have absorbed a good portion of that added cost and pricing will remain much lower than initially feared. All prices on ShopFSI.com have already been updated as of April 12th at 3pm ET to reflect this latest CBP update.

Please note that the trade dispute remains an ongoing issue and based on recent comments from the US Commerce Secretary it seems likely that new tariffs may be imposed on most electronics in the future. As evidenced by recent events these changes may be implemented with very little advance notice and could be subject to frequent, and not always clearly communicated, changes. To that end we will cap the validity of any requested quotes from our US office to just 10 days until further notice so that we may properly respond to such volatility when and if it occurs.

What about clients outside of the USA?

While nothing is certain, we do anticipate that customers outside the US should be relatively insulated from any significant price increases this year as we have laid the groundwork for being able to further decouple our international business from our US operation should it be needed. However, for customers located in the USA the best time to purchase may be now as we suspect that the current import duty rates and resulting list prices may be the lowest we see all year.

Should future changes be implemented, whether for the better or worse, we will endeavor to communicate clearly and post updates at FlandersScientific.com as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this quickly evolving situation.
